Hi, I’m Ali Rana.

As Head of IT for Navitas’ Careers & Industry division, I oversee strategy, operations and digital innovation across Australia, the US and beyond. I lead a 21-person global team and established an IT Projects Office that governs 40+ strategic initiatives—from campus systems to platform consolidations.

I thrive on simplifying complexity. Whether architecting fit-for-purpose IT for CSU campuses, decommissioning legacy marketing platforms or piloting generative AI in our classrooms, I combine creative problem-solving, design thinking and data-driven insights to deliver impactful solutions.

My core strengths include enterprise architecture, AI strategy and cybersecurity. I co-authored the One Navitas Blueprint to guide CRM & platform consolidation, led ISO27001 remediation and ROPA compliance, and championed the Cogniti.ai rollout as a context-aware teaching assistant.

At heart I’m a people-centric leader. I build high-trust, cross-functional teams; embed agile ways of working; and foster communities of practice in data, digital and AI—ensuring our solutions truly empower users.

I’m passionate about bridging gaps between business, design and technology. By partnering closely with stakeholders and academic leaders, I turn vision into reality—researching, prototyping and launching enterprise systems that enable innovation and growth.
